What is the sweetener in your
O’free sugar free syrups?
- Splenda ® (sucralose) and Eridex ™ (erythritol, a natural low calorie sweetener that occurs naturally in fruits and vegetables). Using all-natural erythritol in addition to sucralose gives our O’free line clean, true flavor without the aftertaste typical of other sugar free products.

Do Monin Products contain gluten or alcohol?
- Monin Products are gluten free and alcohol free.

Do Monin Products contain any dairy ingredients?
- All Monin Flavoring Syrups do not contain dairy ingredients. Monin Sauces contain dairy ingredients.

Do any Monin Products contain caffeine?
- Monin Espresso flavoring and Monin True Brewed Espresso Concentrate contain extracts of coffee beans so they contain some caffeine, 2.1 mg/1 fl.oz and 25 mg/1 fl. oz, respectively. The amount is generally lower than in a regular cup of coffee or espresso. The amount of caffeine in Monin Tea concentrates is minimal.

Do any Monin Products contain nuts (tree nuts)?
- Yes, some Monin flavors contain traces of tree nuts: Monin Roasted Chestnut, Hazelnut, O'free Hazelnut and Organic Hazelnut. All other Monin Products are free from any traces of tree nuts.

- Yes, some Monin flavors contain traces of peanuts: Monin Macadamia Nut and Monin Toffee Nut. All other Monin Products are free from any traces of peanuts.

Are Monin Flavoring Syrups/Sauces Vegan?
- Monin Flavoring Syrups are suitable for a vegan diet. Monin Sauces contain dairy products and are not vegan.

Shelf Life and Storage
What is the unopened shelf life of Monin Flavoring Syrups?
- The expiration date is noted on the neck of the Monin bottle (e.g. "EXP 07/10") for all Flavoring Syrups except 50 ml. 50 ml sample bottles display the expiration date on the label.
- Monin Classic Flavoring Syrups and Monin Tea Concentrates in 750 ml glass bottles have an unopened shelf life of 3 years, except Lemon, Lemon Drop, Lime and Orange flavorings with 2 years.
- Flavoring Syrups and Concentrates in 1 liter PET bottles have an unopened shelf life of 18 months, except True Brewed Espresso Concentrate with 12 months and Desert Pear flavoring with 6 months.

O’free (Sugar free) flavors, Sweeteners and Organic flavors also have an unopened shelf life of 18 months, both in the 1 liter PET bottle and in the 750 ml glass bottle .
- All Monin Flavorings in 50 ml sample bottles have an unopened shelf life of 12 months.

What is the unopened shelf life of Monin Sauces?
- The expiration date (e.g. "EXP 07/10") is noted on the bottle neck of the 64 oz. Monin Sauces and on the cap of the 12 oz. Monin Sauces.
- The shelf life of all Monin Sauces is 12 months unopened.

What is the opened shelf life of Monin Flavoring Syrups/Sauces?
- Shelf life after opening depends on storing conditions and if a pumps is used. Store Monin Flavoring Syrups/Sauces at a temperature between 65-80°F / 18-27°C. Avoid high humidity, heat and sunlight as much as possible. If using pumps, cover pumps with foil overnight in order to prevent any possible mold entering through the pump opening.

Do Monin Products need to be refrigerated at all / after opening?
- Monin Products do not require refrigeration. Refrigeration is
recommended for Monin Desert Pear, only to preserve the bright color.

How much product does a Monin pump dispense?
- Monin offers specially designed and calibrated pumps for our 750 ml flavorings, for our 1 Liter flavorings and for our 64 oz. sauces. Our flavoring pumps dispense ¼ fl. oz. while our sauce pumps dispense ½ fl. oz.

Troubleshooting
The milk is curdling when I add the Monin Flavoring syrup. What can I do to prevent this?
- Mixing some naturally tart flavors with milk (especially hot milk) may be tricky. Please view our Usage Tips in the Recipe menu.

Why is there a ring/sediment on the inside of a Monin fruit flavoring bottle?
- This may be caused by any naturally occurring fruit oils, pulp or pectin contained in the Monin fruit flavoring. This should dissolve once shaken and is not a cause of concern. For additional questions, please call Customer Service at 800-966-5225 or (1)727-461-3033.
