During his numerous trips, Georges Monin had discovered the "New World", the cocktail-bars of Manhattan and Boston, the longdrinks, the then typical American taste of drinking spirituals 'on the rocks'.
When he founded his company in 1912, Georges Monin started to create "new style" spirituals with a innovative taste, completely different, to drink on the rocks according to the American style. It was the Monin Original, lime tree barks and tropical plant distillation.
